Levico Waters is a zero impact company, also thanks to Blue Valley
In 2014 we decided to find a partner to be able to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from production with a long-term project.
The analysis conducted showed that in 2014 the impact of production had been reduced by 21% for the 0.5l bottles, while over the two-year period 2012-2014 the total GHG (i.e. the greenhouse gas emissions) emitted from Levico had decreased by 11.74%, from 1,841,178 kgCO2 in 2012 to 1,624,948 kgCO2 in 2014.
To eliminate this residual quantity of greenhouse gas emissions related to the overall production we purchased “carbon credits” issued by BLUE VALLEY, a BNeutral certified company engaged in the management of a carbon capture and storage system in the province of Venice.
In the 5 years scheduled for zeroing, a program subject to annual revisions, BLUE VALLEY will operate in the Venetian lagoon carrying out activities which reduce greenhouse gases and absorb CO2, such as the replanting of the lagoon, the management of lagoon water circulation and fish farming via extensive aquaculture.
